Here are the top concerns we hear from safety teams
Does using SafeXel make my company compliant with the WSH Act?
No software can do that on its own. The WSH Act places duties on employers, principals and occupiers to take reasonably practicable measures for safety and health. SafeXel helps you run permit, contractor and hazard processes consistently and keeps the records that show it. Your risk assessments, controls, competent people and supervision on site are still what compliance depends on.
What is a permit-to-work system?
A permit-to-work is a formal authorisation system for controlling selected work activities, especially high-risk and non-routine work. It makes sure the hazards are identified, the controls are in place and a competent person has authorised the work before it starts, and that the area is made safe when it ends.
How does a digital system improve safety?
Required checks are built into each permit template, the right approver is notified straight away, and everyone can see which permits are live on which site. Every decision is timestamped against a named user, so nothing depends on a paper form that can be lost or back-filled.
What types of permits are supported?
SafeXel includes checklist templates for six activities: general work, work at height, confined space entry, lifting operations (including crane-specific checks and the lifting plan), machinery and electrical maintenance. See the checklist library above for the permit types included. Professional and Enterprise plans include all permit types and custom workflows, so you can match the permit to your own safe work procedures.
Is the subscription per site or per project?
Each SafeXel subscription covers one project. This applies whether your work is at a single site or across several sites. If you run two separate projects, even at the same site, you need two subscriptions, and you can choose a different plan for each. For example, two projects on Essential cost $278 a month ($139 × 2), while one Essential and one Professional project cost $418 a month ($139 + $279), before GST. The 7-day free trial applies to your first project.
Will SafeXel report accidents to MOM for me?
No. Reportable workplace accidents, dangerous occurrences and occupational diseases must be notified to MOM through iReport within the timeframes in the WSH (Incident Reporting) Regulations. SafeXel's hazard reports help you capture what happened on site and follow up internally.
Can SafeXel help with ConSASS, bizSAFE or ISO 45001 audits?
SafeXel does not carry out audits or issue certification. It gives auditors and internal reviewers a traceable history of permits, contractor approvals, hazards and controlled documents, which reduces the time spent assembling evidence.
